Minister Fatakesto - Mithun Chakrabarty

Mithun Chakrabarty is has done 2 Fatakesto so far. Will there be another one?
The Fatakesto 1 was named “MLA Fatakesto” directed by Swapan Saha. The bengali blockbuster film was produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. Now Shree Venkatesh Films will be presenting us with yet another Mithun Chakrabarty packed Minister Fatakesto. This sequel movie will also be directed by Swapan Saha. There are very few (if not none) bengali films with a sequel number.

Minister Fatakesto did not do as good as MLA Fatakesto last year. It was a big budget movie with production cost more than two crores.

Tagline for Minister Fatakesto: “Sonar Bangla Kaar? Thik Korben Minister Fatakesto“.

We saw Mithun not only as an Actor but also as an singer in this film with the item number “Age Chilam Local Gunda Re“.

Bor Ashbe Ekhuni - Jisshu Sengupta, Koel Mullick

Director: Rangan Chakraborty
Producer: Bangla Talkies
Cast: Jisshu Sengupta, Koel Mullick, Kanchan Mullick

Only few weeks back we have seen the big release of Jisshu-Koel starred “LOVE” directed by Ringo. A superb romantic movie with great camera work, dialogs, locations and what not. Koel did excellent work in LOVE. LOVE is few of the recent Bengali films that was not copied from South Movie Hits. The movie did not do very well possibly as the movie was specially targeted towards city people. It was a sad ending story anyway!

Well, not the HIT couple Jisshu Sengupta - Koel Mullick is back again this Friday to rock Calcutta with yet another Bengali Feature Film “ Bor Ashbe Ekhuni“. This is also a nice movie directed by Rangan Chakraborty and produced by Bangla Talkies. Jisshu Sengupta plays a role of modern software engineer while Koel plays the role of a rural girl. Jisshu falls in love with Koel at first sight. Koel was looking for an apartment but as young unmarried lasy she could not manage any. She ties up with Jisshu Sengupta to play a real life drama of husband and wife to get an apartment. However, they promise not to perform any sexual act during their stay! Kanchan Mullick has done excellent work as Jisshu Sengupta’s friend in Bor Ashbe Ekhuni. He plays the role of a cameraman who works in TV serials. The song “Dol Dol Doluni, Bor Ashbe Ekhuni” is going to be popular hit number for sure.

The movie is a remake of super hit Priyadarshan comedy Golmal!

Outline:

“Kolkatai Guru, Mahaguru Sobee ami” - says Prosenjit.
“Chottobelay Suru, Joubone Guru, Apnar Kache Maha Guru” - something close to this was a dislogue by Mithun Chakraborty in the film “Mahaguru”.

Tollywood is flooded with Prosenjit Films this year and some of them are good such as Khela but most of them are trashy films just like Shibaji. Well, Prosenjit is still considered the Hero No. 1 in Calcutta but our recent poll maked Mithun Chakraborty the best choice as a hero and Jeet competing well with Mithunda. Prosenjit is not even close to Jeet at all! But “Rakhe Hori Mare Ke”!

Shibaji is of course Prosenjit whose wife is raped and daughter killed. So, he becomes infamous and start his revenge with dark eye-glass and black shoes! Tapal Pal as a police officer looked better. He actually rapes and kills Prosenjit’s wife! . Shatabdi Roy paid some attention to her character. Ranjit Mullick was as good as before in his small role as a judge.
Shatabdi Roy paid some attention to her charector. Ranjit Mullick was as good as before in his small role as a judge.

Shibaji has nothing to offer other than violence and sex. It is a total waste of time. Also the film is full of item songs with ridiculous lyrics.

If you are not going to watch the film, you will not miss anything.

Partnet (2008):Jeet-Swastika

Jeet and Swastika Couple is back after some time in Partner. The action-romance packed Bengali movie released in Calcutta on 1st August. Jeet is still considered as the Hero No. 2 in Tollywood and the film is still bringing some crowd to the movie halls. There was not much pre-release hype for the movie and not too much of reviews and previews seen online. Still, Jeet is the smartest actor in recent time and Partner would be a must watch film for for Jeet and Swastika fans.
