The Fatakesto 1 was named “MLA Fatakesto” directed by Swapan Saha. The bengali blockbuster film was produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. Now Shree Venkatesh Films will be presenting us with yet another Mithun Chakrabarty packed Minister Fatakesto. This sequel movie will also be directed by Swapan Saha. There are very few (if not none) bengali films with a sequel number.

Minister Fatakesto did not do as good as MLA Fatakesto last year. It was a big budget movie with production cost more than two crores.

HOCCHE TA KI (2008) BY BASU CHATTERJEE AND AMAR PRATIGYA (2008) BY SWAPAN SAHA RELEASED IN CALCUTTA (KOLKATA)

This weekend will be special for bengali movie lovers in Calcutta. Guess what? Basu Chatterjee is back with another comedy “Hocche Ta Ki“! Prasenjeet will be seen in a comedy role this time with Arunima Ghosh, Pauli, Paran Banerjee and superb Rajatava Dutta! We expect some good crowd at various movie halls this week.

Amar Pratigya is also releasing this week. Swapan Saha is very good at making bengali film look “commertial” and “presentable”. He has done some really good movies specially with Jeet and some with Prasenjeet. This time he chose Priyanshu Chatterjee as his hero. Priyanka Tribedi back with the film (remember her for superb film like “Tok Jhal Misti”, “Hothat Brishti”) and we expect great performance from her. Rajatava Dutta shows his presence in this film too. This movie is all about action and I am sure Swapan Saha will not bore you too much with his films.

90 Ghanta and Jor, Janmadata Released In Calcutta

90 Ghanta is now running in Calcutta. The movie is directed by Saugata Roy Barman. It has good star cast including: Jishu Sengupta, Swastika Mukherjee, Tota Roychowdhury, Manjushree Ganguly and many more. You can watch the movie at MITRA movie hall. 12 pm | 3 pm | 6 pm | 8.30 pm 4 shows everyday (in February). Another “big” release is JOR - directed by Swapan Saha. Jeet (who has been so far the best bengali hero by website poll along with Mithun Chakrabarty) is the main attaction in the movie. Jeet is really a very hard working actor and got good potential. Varsha Priadarshi, Subrat Dutta and Dipankar Dey are some of his co-stars in this film. You can watch JOR at “BIJALI CIMENA HALL”, “CHABIGHAR”, “MINAR, shyambazar”, “PADMA, Sodepur”, “PUSPASHREE, Behala” .
