New Delhi, Aug 6 (IANS) Uninterrupted and stable power supply will be provided during the Oct 3-14 Commonwealth Games here as the distribution network has been strengthened in 12 venues of the mega event at a cost of Rs.74 crore, power distributing company BSES said Friday.
Also, a blueprint has been prepared to strengthen and augment the distribution network in the stadia, guest houses and other Games venues, a spokesperson said.
‘BSES has been continuously engaged in sprucing up and augmenting its infrastructure by deploying world class technologies. These technologies are helping BSES streamline its distribution network and aid in faster identification, isolation and restoration of faults,’ the spokesperson said.
A state-of-the-art grid sub-station at the Commonwealth Games village has also been made, he added.
There are a total of 12 Games venues in the area BSES supplies power, including the Games village and the International Media Centre. ‘It also includes seven competition venues and three training venues,’ he added.
