A good start to know about the pilgrims who sailed in the Mayflower, what they were originally called, what drove them to this new land of wilderness, how life was on the Mayflower, the laws of in Plymouth, what the Pilgrims ate and how they dressed, what the first Thanksgiving was like and evolution of the modern Thanksgiving.

The isolation of topics and discussions makes its easier for the new readers. The book is designed with several true/false quizzes, guessing games, maps, explorations of the new world even before the Pilgrims.

The book also includes illustrations of pilgrims’ clothes, log cabins.

The book is written in a fun approach of group discussion. The reader is never left alone while reading the book and is always accompanied by the story teller.

The pictures are great and enjoyable.

It was very engaging for the whole family. I read some of it on the way to Thanksgiving dinner and no one wanted to stop reading when we had to take a break!
