The book is written in a fun way of travelling to the past in a time machine with author Elaine Landau and her dog Max.

The book consists of small related chapters about the Pilgrims like: ‘Crossing the Atlantic’, ‘Finding a Place’, ‘The General Sickness’ etc.

There are some cool chapters on Indians like ‘The Wampanaog’, ‘Squanto’, ‘The Arrival of Samoset’.  which are  Samoset that are interesting with the harvest celebration.

The final chapter ‘Whatever Happened To’ tells us about more about what happened to Governor William Bradford, Massaasoit, Squanto, Miles Standish, the Wampanoag Indians in the later years.

The book also has wonderful paintings, pictures, cartoons and a brief timeline of important events from 1620 to 1941.
