Kolkata/Mumbai, Aug 14 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): As brothers and sisters mark the beautiful festival of Rakhi on Saturday, the world of Bollywood wished their fans over Twitter.
“The closest friend I have is my sister. So, in a rare nod to these ‘special days’, happy raksha bandhan to all,” actor Rahul Bose tweeted to his fans.
Veteran actor Dev Anand mentioned in his tweet that Rakhi makes him remember the iconic composition called ‘Pholon Ka Taaro Ka’ from his own film ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’. The song was composed by legendary music director R D Burman.

Wish my sister neha was down with me in mumbai or I was in kanpur. I just miss her soo much ! Truly love her,” an emotional Neil Nitin Mukesh shared with his fans.

“Wishing every brother and sister out there a very happy Raksha Bandhan! And a special wish for my adorable sister Meghna whose unconditional love, friendship and sweet smile makes me the luckiest brother in the world,” the ‘Saathiya’ famed actor Vivek Oberoi mentioned in his twitter account named ‘vivek_oberoi’.
Apart from the B-town celebs, political icons also shared their feelings and good wishes over Twitter with their followers.
“Happy Rakshabandhan Day to all those guys lucky enough to have sisters, whether related to them by blood or not,” politician Shashi Tharoor tweeted.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Chief Minister of Gujrat, Narendra Modi tweeted: “Celebrating the bond of love between brothers & sisters is the auspicious festival symbolizing social harmony & strength.Happy Rakshabandhan.”
