Mumbai, March 1 (Calcutta Tube) If you enjoy watching motorbike-based movies, here is some good news. India’s first film festival on such movies is starting
Thursday and films like ‘Wild Hogs’ and ‘Motorcycle Diaries’ will be shown during the three day event in five cities.
Titled Harley-Davidson Freedom Film Festival, it will simultaneously open in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chandigarh.
American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson in association with PVR Cinemas is organising the event and the premiere show will be Thursday at Select City Walk, Saket, in the capital.
Proceeds from the ticket sales from all the cities will go to PVR Nest (Network of Enablement and Social Transformation), which is the corporate social responsibility initiative of the company. It was set up in 2006 to work in two focal areas – disadvantaged children and deteriorating urban environment.
‘The films selected in the festival are the best of Hollywood and I am sure that our patrons will love to see them and make the festival a huge success,’ Gautam Dutta, CEO, Cinemedia, PVR Ltd, said in a statement.
‘Ghost Rider’, ‘Easy Rider’ and ‘Wild One’ comprise of the main line-up of the festival.
