Kolkata, Mar 9 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): Mojo Productions Private Ltd. and Saregama India Ltd. launched the music album of upcoming Bengali movie “Bhooter Bhobishyot” directed by Anik Dutta here recently.
The music of the film has been scored by Raja Narayan Deb and lyrics have been penned by Dutta himself.
The songs in the film have been inspired by an eclectic range of genres like from Rock to Rabindrasangeet, from old Scottish tunes to Bhatiyali, Quawali, Bhojpuri Folk, Nidhubabur Toppa and Retro Bengali film songs.
“The interesting part of the film is while taking references for the music we discovered that at least 10 to 12 genres of music has been used in the movie,” said Dutta.
The film also has a raunchy “item number” where actor Monami will be seen showing her dancing skills.
The star cast of the film include Sabyasachi Chakraboty, Swastika Mukherjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Mir, Paran Bandhopadyay, Saswata Chatterjee, Biswajit Chakrabarty, Kharaj Mukherjee, Mumtaz Sorcar, George Baker, Samadarshi Dutta and Sreelekha Mitra.
Talking about Sabyasachi’s character in the movie, he said: “I narrate the whole story of ghost to Parambrata’s character. The story proceeds through my narration.”
Interestingly, this is the first time Mir will be seen in the role of a villain.
Talking about this, Mir said: “The ghost that I am playing is rather naughty and sweet. Audiences will definitely like my character.”
When asked to Swastika about her part, she said: “I am also playing a ghost in the movie. Unable to get her lover, she ends her life and turns into a ghost.”
Speaking about Monami ‘s character in the film, she said: “I am playing Mir’s x-wife in the movie. She was murdered and comes back to take revenge. This is the climax of the movie.”
