Bengali New Year at Kolkata resturant

Kolkata, Apr 11 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): Speciality restaurant 6 Ballygunge Place has lined up an array of authentic Bengali cuisines for visitors to satisfy the taste buds of the food-loving Bengali community which gears up to celebrate the first day of Bangali New Year, know here as ‘Poila Baisakh’.
Food, especially Bengali cuisine, is an integral part of the any celebration in this part of the country and 6 Ballygunge Place promises to serve authentic cuisines that make the festive mood all the more special to mark Poila Baisakh which falls on Apr 15 this year.
Foodies can taste whole host of Bengali delicacies like ‘Aam Pora Sharbat’, ‘Subzi Badshahi Pulao’, ‘Kesori Aloo Dum’, ‘Kasha Echor’,’ Mouralla Macher Piyaji’, ‘Morich Mangsho’, ‘Chingri Malai Curry’, ‘Bhetki Macher Fry’, ‘Kancha Lanka Dhonepata Murgi’, ‘Misti Doi’ and ‘Jamuna Kheer Pantua’, and more on this very important date on the Bengali calendar.
The twenty course ‘Pratoni Jaamidari’ buffet has been priced price of Rs 600 per person.
The restaurant says that the main attraction of the menu is the traditional Bengali flavour and the entire line up is an effort to bring it back to the lives of the Bengalis who are gradually shedding the elaborate culinary culture in the fast-paced 21st century.
The special ‘Poila Boishakh’ food festival will commence from Apr 15 and will continue till Apr 17.
