Bengali Film Poran Jay Joliya Re is Banned by Calcutta High Court for Plagiarism
Calcutta High Court has declared a ban on “Poran Jay Joliya Re” for plagiarizing hit Bollywood Movie “Namaste London”. Screening of Poran Jay Joliya Re” would stop completely from friday, 4th of September, 09. Poran Jay Joliya Re has been running very well when the craze about Tollywood newcomer “Dev” is at peak level. CalcuttaTube has tried to call both DEV and Subhashree multiple times but could not get hold of them.
But the question about plagiarism remains unclear as many of the Bollywood movies are inspired by (read copied) English films or from South films.
Actor Soumitra Chatterjee comments “A remake of a great film is still a shadow of the original”. We should be dedicated and respect the original.

I know Poran Jai Jolia is a remake,but then also Dev da has done a great job and now-a-days every film is a remake so it’s a common matter.
Poran Jai Jolia Re is good, specially Dev da’s acting is fantastic.
