Kolkata, Apr 25 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS): Directors Tanmoy Paul and Kalyan Deep Bardhan announced their upcoming Bengali film “One Liner” here on Tuesday.
Tanmoy said: “The movie will showcase the struggle that people face in the film industry at the beginning of their career and how they cope up with the situation.”
The film stars Sreelekha Mitra, Rudranil Ghosh, Rajesh, Vikash Grover, Dwijen Bannerjee, Shubhomoy Chatterjee, Anindya Banerjee and Kaushik Chakraborty.
Speaking about her character, Sreelekha said: “I am playing Shrimoyee who is a house wife. She is apparently happy with her husband but somewhere there is a gap that needs to be fulfilled.”
“During school and college she was quite famous for dance but nothing big happened in her career. Then someday she gets an opportunity to act. Whether she will utilize the opportunity in a right manner or not that will be unfolded in the movie,” she said.
Rajesh who was last seen in ‘System’ said: “I am portraying the character of a simple boy who dreams of becoming an actor. He lands up in the city to turn his dream into reality.”
When asked to Rajesh if he found any similarity with the character and his real life struggle, he said: “Even I came from small town Asansol to become an actor and I too faced problems at the start of my career. So, somewhere I can connect with the role. ”
There are six songs in the film by Anupam, Sidhu, Rupam and Anwesha.
The shooting of the movie will kick off from Apr 27 across various locations in Kolkata.
