Bengali band ‘Bandage’ celebrates birthday
Kolkata, June 11 (IBNS): Popular television anchor-cum-radio jockey Mir and his band Bandage celebrated their sixth birthday at a city mall on Sunday.
At the occasion, the band enthralled the audiences with their music performances while funnyman Mir had the audience in splits with his wisecracks.
Tollywood actor Rajatava Dutta dropped in at the event to wish the band.
“My best wishes are with them and I pray to god they just keep on performing like this for more 100 years,” said Dutta.
Commenting on the occasion, Mir said: “Though our birthday is on 12th June but we thought of celebrating two days earlier, on Sunday to get the maximum crowd.”
The band Bandage first saw the light of the day way back in 2006.
Though it started out to pep up the comedy show Mirakkel, but soon made its way into the heart of the viewers with their impromptu jams.
The band comprises of seven members that include Mir, Dwaipayan, Nitin, Suman, Saurav, Kaushik and Chiku.
It was in the year 2010, that the band evolved as a group of seasoned musicians and since then has made audiences swayed to their tune.
At the occasion, the band also announced their first album “Awesome Sala” that is yet to hit the market.
