Kolkata, Feb 13 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS) Amway India Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, the country’s largest Direct Selling FMCG Company, is now focusing more to promote beauty products apart from nutritional and health product in next five to six years.
Amway India , MD & CEO, William S. Pinckney said on Monday during a press meet, that “health and nutritional product selling
“So, we have no major thrust to increase it, but, focus is on to maintain the growth rate.”
“The beauty product selling comprises 10 percent of our total market share but in next five years we are focussing to increase it to 15-17 percent ,” he said.
Amway sells 20 percent of personal care product of their total business.
In 2011, the company had posted 19 percent growth to a total turnover of Rs.2130 crore against Rs 1790 crore in 2010.
To expand its business in India it will invest Rs. 400 crore this year.
In their portfolio, they will invest Rs. 100 crore to set up a headquarters in India, but , Pinckney didn’t disclose the location.
And remaining Rs.300 crore will be invested to set up a manufacturing unit in India.
Amway targets to achieve a total turnover of Rs. 2500 crore in 2012.
