Amrita Kumbher Sandhane’ (1982) is a film by Dilip Roy, based on a novel by the eminent novelist Samaresh Basu that tells the experience of a neutral vistor (Shubhendu Chatterjee) at the holy fair of KubhMela at the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. A great film with a great cast that the class will surely enjoy. Shubhendu was a great actor who acted equally good in parallel and mainstream films, and did a great job in this movie too. Aparna Sen, Ruma Guha Thakurata, Lily Chakrabarty, and the others are awesome too.
