New Delhi, March 5 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Friday met the family of call centre employee Abhinav Puri, crushed to death under a crane Feb 28, and assured them of all help.
Dikshit told Puri’s family that her government would provide all possible assistance and compensation to the family, according to an official statement issued here.
She also told Puri’s widowed mother that a scholarship for higher studies would be provided to her younger son.
Puri, 30, was killed when a crane toppled over and fell over his and two other cars in west Delhi at 3 a.m. when he was returning from work. He had returned to India two years ago after completing his studies in Australia.
