Adim Ripu is a Bengali Crime/Thriller Detective Movie directed by Anjan Dutta. Abir Chatterjee plays Byomkesh Bakshi while Saswata Chatterjee does Ajit. After a series of Feluda, Byomkesh will bring some variation in Bengali detective cinema.

It was Rituparno Ghosh who first declared a trilogy on Byomkesh Bakshi. But,that project was discarded later,while Anjan Dutta proceeded to announce his trilogy and now execute his take on the sleuth. Anjanda has always been known for innovativeness in film-making. His first movie on Byomkesh,”Adim Ripu “is on the floors and may release by the end of the year. Though the original story is of the pre-independence era, he has dragged to the 60’s.
