Kolkata, June 27 (Calcutta Tube / IBNS) Bollywood actor Aamir Khan on Saturday praised Sourav Ganguly for being a lovely host after occupying the elusive “Hot Seat” of the show “Ke Hobey Banglar Kotipoti”(Who wants to be Bengal’s Millionaire).
Aamir Khan, who shared the seat with his wife Kiran Rao, “felt at home” while Sourav quizzed them on the Bengali version of the internationally acclaimed game show called “Who wants to be a Millionaire”.
Aamir remarked, “Sourav is the most gracious host.”
Aamir stated that he was playing because of an invitation from “long time close friend” Sourav and he intended to donate the money to a charity called Saraswati Mandir Trust.
He said, “I played for a charity called Saraswati Mandir Trust.”
On being probed about his opinion on the recent price hike in kerosene, diesel, petrol and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) he articulated his concerns by saying, “It will affect people in the lower economic group.”
Aamir Khan expressed his ardent desire to work in Kolkata though he clarified that his lack of proficiency in the Bengali language might prevent him from working in a Bengali film.
Kiran Rao hinted at a possible directorial venture in Kolkata but she also stated that her script is incomplete and would require more work.
She said, “I hope to make something in Calcutta.”
While speaking about the upcoming film of his production house, “Delhi Belly” Aamir classified its genre as comedy.
He said “Delhi Belly is essentially a comedy.”
He however warned audiences that the film had received an Adult certification from the censor board for use of abusive language and hence some may not feel comfortable while watching it.
Aamir commented on the “item number” he had done for the movie by saying, “ I had a lot of fun while doing it.“
“The song is a tribute to the disco era”, he added.
