Deb and Koel is a very successful pair in Tollywood recently. Their first venture “Premer Kahini” produced by Shree Venkatesh Films was a blockbuster. Deb plays “Rahul” while Koel Mullick plays “Ria” in the movie. They meet with each other while travelling to Siligudi. Koel is rinning away from home to meet her boyfriend. The movie captures the scenic beauty of Darjeeling. Rahul is a thief (a so called “good” thief). He is travelling to Darjeeling to sell his treasure. On the way, Deb and Keol encounters each other rather closely, emotionally and help each other multiple times. Thereby they come close without knowing about it very much.
Sounds like a SEEN film? Oh yes. This is the Bengali version of the SUPERHIT hindi movie “Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha” in 1998 that featured Ajay Devgan and Kajol. We wish both Deb and Keol pays proper tribute to the original film!

yesterday i again saw mon mane na.it was dev’s birthday and i wished to watch the movie and finally i have watched it.but something strange happened before the show started.hall gates remained closed upto 2:15 pm though show timing was 2 pm.the show was houseful.everybody was getting angry.the iron gates were shaken and terribly moved by spectators.at last a man came and told us that there will be no show, some technical problem aroused so everyone stand in a line and take their money back by returning the tickets.i was hopeless.i was hurt.i felt completely numb.i was thinking that my whole day became worthless.i am the biggest fan,i have cut the birthday cake but i couldnot show my love and my loyalty to dev because of a technical problem. but i think god was with me,suddenly i saw a rush towards the hall and everybody was telling that the technical problem has been resolved and the show is going to start .i felt so happy at that moment.i also became furious earlier but after the good news i became calm,was laughing and went inside the hall.the show started at last at about 2:30 pm.it is a strange incident in my life. i am going crazy day by day.the fim appeared more endearing to me yesterday.dev rocks.love u dev .jai deva.love-sus.

well sourav, i think sumtimes overacting is needed 2 higlihting multiple expressions in a movie specially when it’s a commercial movie, and dat’s what dev had done…as far as da last scene is concerned, dat seems 2 me very touchy, when dev was expressing all her feelings about koel(ria)…and i know dat ‘jodi’ and ‘acting’, these 2 things r not interrelated, actually i was just sharing my likes and dislikes about them, n that’s all….b8 u know, u made me laugh by saying “deb ke koel er mato acting karte hale anek kaj korte habe” !!!i’m just shocked, man!!!! b8 1 thing i can say is dat’ just w8 and watch’….

On 25th Dec.,I went to RATHINDRA cinema-hall for watching the film
“Mon mane na”…There was a huuuge crowd…I was a little late,so
I had to buy a ticket from a blacker paying Rs.30 instead of Rs.20
I have never seen so much crowd before to watch a bangla movie…The
cinema hall was Packed-up.
I could not watch the Mon mane na-title song properly.When the title
song started,everyone in the hall became wild,all were shouting…
I could even not hear that song properly…
Anyways,the film was ok…I liked more the dancing of Dev rather than
acting…

for ur kind information let me tell u that koel is the pillar of tollywood industry.did you ever talk to her? but i did…she can fluently speak in 4 different language.as far as jelibis paches are concerned,she never did that.i think you have a wrong information or you are blindly speaking coz i have more information about tollywood stars than you carry,and have you any knowledge about acting?well i used to do acting or stageplay from my childhood.i don’t care that you saw “mon mane na”thousand times or more than that, watch it for one more time and this time u will come to know that dev had done all the over acting and all the nonsences(if you have any knowledge bout acting).there are only few people in tollywood who did charities and koel is above all.so i dont think she is selfish.

I like watching Koel movies. She is a good “main-stream” actress and pays attentions to her role. I have never spoken to her. So, can not comment even a bit how she is in real life.
On the other hand, I have only watched one film by Dev-Koel in parts - Premer Kahini. I thought Dev has potential. I talked to him. He is entirely down to earth and brilliant and he is also extremely dedicated to his work.

Sometimes the actors has to do what the directors ask them to do. Read my interview with “Amitabh Bhattacharjee”. He told be that his biggest dream is to become a director. You will be able to read my interview with Subrat Dutta also (releasing tonight). He told me that Tollywood is still making same old love stories. There is no impact of any social events on the film industry. I asked the same question to Dev also. He also said he is a part of it, so the directors, so the producers. Dev told me that he would like to do all kinds of film including parallel cinemas. When I asked Dev about the best Heros/Heroines, he replied with immense RESPECT to fellow leading actors. He mentioned all including Hiran, Rahul, Koel, Subhashree and every body. He said out of 10, 2 may like me, 5 may like Hiran etc but “WE” have to bring the viewers of Bengali films back to the halls.
