The Last Lear is an Indian, English language film directed by young and talented Rituparno Ghosh. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta, Shefali Shah and Jisshu Sengupta. The Last Lear is based upon a script by legendary actor Utpal Dutta - “Ajker Shahjahan” .The Last Lear premiered at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2007 and received a significant reception, earning many accolades after being showcased at a Gala Presentation. The film has also been featured in the London Film Festival and in International Film Festival of India (Goa).

Amitabh Bacchan plays the role of  veteran thespian Harish Mishra. He is gravely ill after a film shooting. His co-actor Shabnam (Preity Zinta) is very worried about old Bacchan however the director of the movie Siddharth (Arjun Rampal) is very cold about the situation.

Amitabh Bacchan is reportedly did his career best performance in this wonderful movie and we are eagerly waiting for the movie to be released next week.
