Bengali Movies by Google on Youtube

Hello All,
I am not sure if it has anything to do with recent deletion of >300 super hit Bengali movies from youtube.com, but I found this article very interesting. The article came out right after the complete deletion of the account “shashit123” from youtube that hosted more than three hundred copyrighted Bengali movies online. I am sure they will be getting more strict about copyright violation every day. What made me happy is the news - GOOGLE IS PLANNING TO HOST BENGALI MOVIES ON YOUTUBE! A report by Indiatimes.com says that a GOOGLE INDIA managing director Shailesh Rao led team already met with our PM Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee last Friday to discuss featuring BENGALI MOVIES on youtube by GOOGLE.

So, guys who are still posting Bengali movies, take a break. We will soon hoping to watch full length Bengali Movies from Youtube - Legally!

Youtube deleted 300 Bengali Movies

Few great things happened in last 2 weeks.

  • Calcutta Tube consumed >170 GB of bandwidth which is 6 times than the usual bandwidth it uses every month.
  • We had database problems.
  • We needed to move to a better server - we have been trying on and off and some of you might have faced some problems already.

The Biggest thing however in last week is the removal of one particular user account from youtube.

  • REMOVAL OF THE ACCOUNT - SMASHIT123

99% of the movies were shared by the user. We are sorry to know that the user did not hold the copyrights of more than 300 movies he/she was publishing from the account.

Well this means:

  1. 99% of movies in CALCUTTA TUBE will not PLAY. Simple.
  2. Again, do NOT request us for re-upload. We do not upload copyrighted material.

Now question remains -

  1. What is the point coming to Calcutta Tube then?
  • I am sure there will be some use. We have superb database of >300 bengali movies. We also review movies, share thought, feature stars.
  • OUR LATEST PROJECT FOCUSES ON “HISTORY OF BENGALI CINEMA” - we will be providing valuable information about Bengali cinema every week starting the silent era of Hiralal Sen.
  1. Will there be Bengali Movies Online Any More?
  • Sure. There are other users from youtube.com who are actively sharing movies (I hope they hold copyrights!) So, if we find something that is useful to our users, we will be glad to share with you all.

Swapan Saha seems to be not tired of directing commercial movies these days. The story is all about misunderstanding of married couple Prosenjit- Rachana. They parted away after much fights over Prosenjit’s nephew. When nephew Rishi got old, he started trying to bring this couple toghther. Most of the movie was shot in Calcutta and Northern part of the Bengal.

Saif Ali Khan took a long time to stabilize himself in Bollywood. Initially he had long hair, nasty look and pretty bad dressing sense. Today, Saifu is a brand name by himself. He has chenge himself so much that it is very hard to believe the Saifu in “Tu Chor Main Sipahi” and the Saifu in “Race” are the same person. He recently done an ad film for a soap company too! Think about it! For numerous years we have been watching cute girls showing some skins and trying to cover some vital spots with some bubbles - Madhuri Dikshit also did the same. Saif Ali broke the trend.

The love affair of Saifu with Bebe (Karina Kapoor) is another big hype of the day. Karina is bold and showing bikini lines in Race and Saif called her “Bitch” multiple times in the movie! The Kapoor Mom is trying to spot Kareena, but in vain. Saifu-Bebe is setting the bollywoody style of love in everyday life. They are not couples in films. They are lovers in real life. Such as Bipasa Basu and John Abraham. They are also very bold.

Love and personal affairs of film stars are no longer too much of secret. Even affair with a divorced person is no longer a big deal. Saif Ali Khan is sure setting a standard of love in India. His standard breaks all the conservative rules - rules that we all follow. There is great charm in breaking some rules. Will you fillow Saifu?
